Coronavirus In India LIVE Updates: India has entered the fifteenth day of its 21-day nationwide lockdown imposed by the Centre to reduce the spread of the coronavirus in the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an all-party meet today suggested that the lockdown will be extended and restrictions will not be lifted in one go in the country after April 14. With the number of coronavirus cases spurting to 350, the Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday said all COVID-19 hotspots in 15 districts will be sealed till April 30. The total number of positive Covid-19 cases breached the 5000-mark and as many as 149 people have been reported dead from the disease. A total of 5194 cases have been reported so far, of which 401 people have recovered. The Supreme Court today told the government that Coronavirus testing should be free of cost even in private labs. According to Avnish Awasthi, the districts with more than six coronavirus related cases will be identified and the strict measures will be taken. This arrangement will be implemented in all 15 districts. DGP Hitesh Chandra Awasthi said, “A cluster has been created in the affected hotspots and sanitation drive will start soon. Passes issued here will be canceled. People will not come out at these places. The exit of people in these areas will be banned. The logo will be marked. By barricading they will be made zero zones and they will be provided 100 per cent of door step delivery.

PM Modi Likely To Extended Nationwide Lockdown
In a video conference meeting with leaders of all political parties, PM Narendra Modi said that the nationwide lockdown may have to be extended keeping in mind the significantly growing cases of Coronavirus across the country, sources say.
However, there has been no official announcement in this matter and aspects of extending the lockdown is being charted out by the government.
The 21-day lockdown announced by PM Modi ends on April 14, but several states have requested an extension, on the backdrop of spurt in Covid-19 cases and warnings that the infection could peak in the coming weeks.
