Collaborative Leadership Programme
Developing skills in Collaborative Leadership to thrive in a fast-evolving world
Why Collaborative Leadership?
In today's fast-paced, chaotic, and highly competitive workplace, students and young professionals must continually refine their skills to thrive in a rapidly-changing world. An emerging focus is on developing collaborative skills and behaviors that are essential for success in modern organizational structures, which are often distributed and feature flatter hierarchies.
The Workplace Today :The environment is dynamic, with constant changes requiring individuals who can adapt quickly and effectively. Collaborative leadership is increasingly vital as it fosters the ability to leverage diverse strengths, perspectives, and engage empathetically across all levels and cultures.
The Leaders We Need :The next generation of leaders must possess broad skill sets and mindsets. They need to be capable of working effectively in teams, understanding complex group dynamics, and leading with empathy and inclusion.
The Challenge :While theoretical learning lays a strong foundation, the real values and behaviors required for success are best learned through real-world engagement rather than classroom instruction alone.
The Reality :Many students are freshers, still on the path of self-discovery, with limited life and work experience. According to LinkedIn data, the average years of work experience for MBA students in India was just 1.3 years in 2023. This is where Trexpert's Collaborative Leadership Programme (CLP) steps in, bridging the gap between theory and practice.
About the Programme
Over six adventurous days in the outdoors, participants immerse themselves in management principles through "learning by doing."
Programme Objective :Teams are tasked with successfully planning and executing their own 6-day Himalayan trek. The ultimate goal is to reach a high summit together within a specific time frame.
In this unfamiliar and challenging environment, teams must navigate tough terrain, adverse weather conditions, manage complex group dynamics, set up camps, prepare meals, and tackle specially designed challenges.
The Key Caveat :The mission is considered successful only when every single person summits. The only way to succeed is by working together.
Programme Highlights
Trexpert has been running this programme for students of several Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) for the past 11 years. IIM Indore, Lucknow, and Bangalore have offered it as a credit course for many years. Additionally, the Goa Institute of Management and Lloyd Business School also offer this programme to their students.
As students trek to a summit, theoretical concepts and lessons around teamwork, leadership, conflict resolution, and effective communication come to life. Within a short span, they not only learn collaborative leadership skills and behaviors but also internalize them.
